VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Are you interested in joining us as a volunteer? 

There are many opportunities to get involved ranging from formal positions on committees all year round, to helping out at individual events or offering an hour or two of your professional skills (marketing, communication, analytics, events, customer service measurement, etc.) on a specific project. 

Current volunteer roles

Membership Coordinator

Are you passionate about people and about membership experience? Are you interested in helping PWI grow its membership to new heights? Then this volunteer role might be something for you!

This volunteer will be responsible for coordinating functions and providing back-up for membership initiatives to contact members and potential members, and provide customer service. Strong interpersonal skills - able to interact with diverse variety of organizations and people. Must be a good problem solver and facilitator, with excellent analytical skills.

Personal Development Program Coordinator

Are you passionate about personal development, have a certain level of expertise in that field and interested to help build our new Personal Development Program? Then this volunteer role might be something for you!

This volunteer will be responsible for for coordinating the workshops which will be hybrid - 3 virtual workshops and 1 in person workshop. If you have experience in organising webinars and workshops around this theme, you might be the perfect match.

Each team will be requested to attend monthly internal meetings, but if the team rotates its participation, this could be once every few months for the individuals. In addition, each team will meet regularly. Please check with the relevant team leaders for more details as to how that team is organised. We would also ask that you attend some PWI events, such as networkings, speaker events, etc.

Elections to Board and Programme Director positions are held once every 2 years at the AGM, usually in May. The last Board was elected in June 2023, so the next Board is due to be elected in May 2025. In the case of resignations or other changes, an opportunity may arise within the Board term.

Team and Programme leaders are expected to commit the necessary time and to attend events for which they are responsible. Please ensure that you are able to do this in order to support the other team members. 

Finally, you can also volunteer at Global level, but in general they prefer to see some evidence of engagement at local level from candidates, so come and work with us first!
