PWI Brussels Holidays Networking Cocktail

Christmas is knocking at our door!
Join us at Le Châtelain Brussels Hotel to share a friendly moment over a glass of mulled wine or our special PWI signature cocktail as we're all looking towards a warm and cozy holiday break.
Meet other PWI members and the extended PWI friends' crowd to mingle, network and enjoy yourself.
We will also welcome Elen Braga, a Brazilian artist based in Brussels, who will talk about her work and an ambitious upcoming project she is currently laboriously preparing for the next year's International Women's Day.
Elen's practice involves self-imposed tasks that border on the absurd. She investigates how we create narratives of the self and is particularly interested in how myths function in relation to an individual’s strength, ambition, futility and resilience.
Elen's artistic bio:
In 2014 Braga was selected in “Situações Brasília” Contemporary Art Award of DF - National Museum of the Republic, in Brazil.
In 2016 she participated in AIR ANTWERPEN residency where she worked on the performance series named 'Os 12 trabalhos' (the twelve labors), inspired by the Greek myth of Odysseus.
In 2017 she was selected for the residency at Central Saint Martins in London in partnership with SESC São Paulo.
In 2018 she completed her post-master in Performativity studies at A·PASS, in Brussels.
She has exhibited and developed projects at: Performatik 19 - (With a.pass, Brussels, 2019), SOKL (Antwerp, 2019) Tomie Ohtake Institute (São Paulo, 2015), 17th Bienal of Cerveira (Portugal, 2013), MUVIM – Valencian Museum of Enlightenment and Modernity (Valencia, 2015), Samples - MULF | Museo Universitario Leopoldo Flores ( Mexico, 2015), SESC Belenzinho (Sao Paulo, 2017) amongst others.
