President's Welcome
Back to PWI Magazine - Q3 2013
Dear PWI members and readers,
Time goes too fast. Seems like back-to-school period was just a few days ago and now Halloween just passed.
We have been very active since the beginning of the year, we were pleased to propose you 29 different events. I hope each of you could find interesting topics for them in it.
In the last months, our most important event: "Empower Women in your Organisation" was targeting primarily D&I managers, HR managers, or leaders of Companies' internal Women Network. It was a huge success as we could see a lot of exchanges of best practices.
On a totally different area our event on Image impact was also much appreciated. Considering the demand for a more in depth journey on your "image impact" we may do another session next year. Contact events@pwi.be if you are interested.
Now let focus on the near future!
Don't forget the
next mentoring wave that will start later this year on
November 21st. Come and join us even if you are not sure you want to be a mentee or a mentor. It is a unique occasion to listen to testimonials and understand more about the programme. We are looking fo mentors. If you are interested, you can learn more about the programme on our web site or contact Melanie Barker at
Mentoring@pwi.be
Book your agenda for the next presentation done by Francesca Del Nero. She will tell us why she quits the corporate world to go and start a business school. You can read more about her experience in this magazine too.
Don't miss our
presentation on Pinterest on December 3rd, open to all. Look at the short
video to learn more about it.
Stay tuned for more interesting events at www.pwi.be/events. We are now working on the 2014 calendar and will present it to you soon.
It is time also to think about yourself or about the women and men around you.
Pinkmovember is coming!
October is the month for the pink ribbon campaign and November for the movember 's one. I suppose you are very familiar with them.
As busy professionals we tend to skip all those health controls we should go through. This period is just a reminder for you and your loves ones to go and take those screenings! Prevention is the key.
